CRICKET SELECTION. (To the Editor.) Sir. —Allow m© a little space to reply to H.W.’s letter of the 24th. inst. re. Our Cricketers. He asks who are the selectors and how were they appointed. They are J. O’Connor (Rimu), H. Wells Kanieri), S. Whitehead (Ruatpau), all appointed at the last meeting of the sub-association when the fixtures were drawn up by S. Fleming, S. Ogilvie and C. Reese. H.W. will no doubt be surprised to know Hint ,T. O’Connor and S. Whitehead "ere not notified that a team was being selected, and did not have n say in picking it, «o 1 fail to see bow they picked themselves. Maybe lie will fossick a little more and get bis information correct before rushing into print next time. Hoping that “H.W.’’ "ill sign Ills correct name next time and with an international knowledge like his, offer his services to the sub-association for the betterment of cricket in and around Hokitika. Ycur.s etc.. - S'. WHITEHEAD. Ruatapu. R.ua'apu, 26:12:32.
