M:sry McGee, a half-caste M'aori, 13 years of age, succumbed to injuries received on the beach at W hangaruru yesterday, when a big wave swept her from a log on which she was playing with other children, and rolled it over her; Life was extinct when the doctor arrived from Hikurangi 20 miles distant.

Fractures of both thighs were received by it he driver of a motor-cycle delivery carrier, Cecil Claude Smith, aged 111, in a collision with a tramcar in Symends Street, just below Grafton Bridge, yesterday morning.
The motor-vehicle was travelling up rfymends Street when the collision with an inward-hound. tramcar occurred. The side-van was eomsiderably damaged.
