The Soviet hns further l'aciltaled the ‘‘ransoming” by foreigners of theii friend, s imprisoned in Russia. The amount of “ransom” has been reduced from £IOO to £SO in foreign currency, pl us railway fares out of the country. The O.G.P.U. (Soviet, Secret Police) have longed exercised this practice as an importa'ift' means of obtaining foreign currency.
