EVEREST CLIMB

expedition at new year

RUGBY, December 21

The personnel of the Mt, Everest expedition, which leaves England early next year ? lias been completed by the addition of 'Mr T. A. Brocklebank and Mr L. R. Wager. The latter was a member of the' British Arctic Air Home -Expedition in 1931. Brocklebank has three times stroked a Cambridge crew to victory in the boat race.

The party, which includes S. Smyth, who led the expedition which successfully scaled- Mt Kavet, the highest peak ,so far climbed by man, is being led by Mr Hugh Ruttledge, late of th. e Indian 'Civ*l Air Force. The expedition has been formed by a joint committee of the 'Royal Geographical Society and the Alpine Club.
