EARTHQUAKE CASE, FOR ONE YEAR. (Per Priss Association - Copyright.) WELLINGTON, December 20:

Disqualification for the period of a year from December 19th. has been imposed on Earthquake and on F. L. Turley, D. W. Morgan, F. L. Fenton, and 3lns 31. L. Turley by the filial judgment of the. Appeal J udges of the New Zealand Racing Conference, in the Earthquake case.

The judges were Sir Charles Clifford, Messrs Gould and Donnelly. They say 'after carefully considering the evidence adduced at inquiries before the Greymouth District Committee and hearing Turley, Morgan and Fenton, they are satisfied that the evidence cptab,'.Fishes beyond question. ’thiat Earthquake was,-and Ls owned by Turley. Airs Turley was unable to appear before them, but they had an opportunity of reading an affidavit by her, placed before the Greymoutb District Committee nnd Turley stated she could add nothing to the affidavit. They were satisfied that the various registrations of Morgan, Fenton and Mi's Turley as owners, at different times of Earthquake, were devices to conceal the fact that the horse was owned by Turley throughout the .period.

They therefore found that Turley, Morgan. Fenton, and Mrs Turley were guilty of corrupt practices under the Rules, of Racing.
