M. CHAUTEMPS AND M. HERRIOT
PARIS, December 15 M. Chautemps after conferring with M. Herriot. announced that he was seeking a formula for conciliation between Ml Herriot and the Chamber. The postponement of the debt payment does not remove the problem. Negotiations remain indispensable, and negotiations presuppose payment. Therefore it remains to determine the conditions of payment. M. Chautemps added that he was taking soundings regarding the Chamber’s attitude and sUd that he would not form a Cabinet without M. Herriot’s collaboration.
