ESCAPE FROM DEVIL’S ISLAND. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) PARIS, December 16. Sixteen of the convicts On Devil’s Island, (the French prison colony), have escaped. fraudulent bankruptcy. (Received 9-30 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, December 18. Torsten Ivreuger was convicted for fraudulent bankruptcy, and was sentenced to three and a half yeais . He was ordered to buy back bonds from certain holders at their original prices.
