National Defence League.—An enthusiastic me’ting was held at Ross last evening. Mr T. W. Bruce presiding. An address under the auspices, of the National Defence League was given by Captain McNnught. Kokatahi.—Kokatahi war, en fete on Wednesday evening when a concert ivas held in aid of the building fund >f the Church of England. The first part of the programme was carried out by- the Dramatic Club, “Popp'e‘'on’s Predicaments” was staged, the Havers being Mis'-es MeKinn n. E. Diedrichs, M. Karnbach, J. Baird, Iv. Wallace, Mrs O’Brien and Messrs Emeron, P. Hoslan, end E. McCormack. The remainder of the programme con■V,nd of musical items’ and a farce “Kiss and be Friends.”
