Wilson, president of the W.C.K.Y. radio station, at Covington, Kentucky, United States, ha, s cabled Mr ! G. W. Forbes as follows: “In response. to requests from thousands of listeners in NeAV Zealand, station W.C.K.Y. will give a special three-hour goodwill broadcasting, starting on Saturday, at midnight, this broadcast will bring to NeAV Zealand messages from President Hoover, President-Elect Roosevelt, the British Ambassador - , and others. Amerioa’s most famous orchestra Avill broadcast on a frequency of 1490 kilocycles.” Mr Forbes has cabled to Mr Wilson the felloAving reply: “The people of Noav Zealand send cardial greetings to the people of the United States, and, with them, sincerely trust that 1933 will bring <a substantial improvement on the present Avorld'-wide economic conditions, and Ave greatly appreciate the action of Station W.C.K.Y. in arranging the goodAvill broadcast.”
