NIGHT MARAUDER .ESCAPES. (Per Pres: Association — Copyright.) MASTER-TON, December 14, Upon entering Yates’ grocery store at Eketaliuna to-night, about 8.30, the manager, Charles Wilburn McLauchlan, was struck a heavy blow on the head by an intruder, who was in the premises, and was rendered unconscious. The intruder made his escape, and is reported to have sped away in a motor car that was waiting outside of the shop. McLauchlan . was attended by Dr Simmers, and was removed to his home. His injuries are no serious. No stock was taken.
