TO CLOSE IN WINNIPEG.
WINNIPEG, December 13. “All Caholic schools in Winnipeg will be closed at the end of the year,” announced Monseigneur A. A. Simioct, Archbishop of Winnipeg, “and the public schools will be called upon to provide for twenty-four hundred more children, in grades one to eight.” The Archbishop stated tihat after more than forty years’ effort the burden had become greater than could be borne. Ten schools would ho closed. It was announced that the pupils will be accommodated by the public schools •
