FIGHTING SLUMP
VPRINCE OF WALES’ PRAISE.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 13. The Prince of Wales, in a speech today, paid a tribute to the manner in which Britain was fighting the Avorld depression, “The Avorld realises,” he said, “that although Ave are suffering like other countries during these baa times aa’6 are not over depressed by it.
As has happened to us in the past in great struggles of our history, the very magnitude of our difficulties has aroused a spirit of determination to overcome them.” The Prince then referred to his recent visits to industrial areas, and said some wonderful work had been done and was being done in developing neAV means of employment. He said evidence of British confidence Avould give confidence to other countries, and thus stimulate a general recovery.
