AUCKLAND, December 13,

A proposal to “go slow” on the relief work was adopted at a meeting of the unemployed ho.d at the' Trades’ Hall a week ago. It was put into force in a modified form, on several ol the reb'ef isehenies to-day.

In some cases the foremen reported that if anything, the men were working a little slower than usual. In other cases the men worked at the customary pace. / . It \vas ' gathered that most of the men were awaiting the decision of tho Government on the question whether the ten per cent, cut in the relief wages and the sustenance imposed last week was to be restored.

There appears no evidence that the go-slow orcldr issued by the unemployed workers executive is being heeded by many.

On the contrary, a meeting of 115 relief workers 011 one City Councill job this morning passed a resolution, repudiating go-slow tactics and this is believed to be the attitude of a great majority of the others.
