MORE PARTICULARS I ~ - DISCUSSION IN COMMONS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY', December 12. Further .particulars regarding the Anglo-Plarsian Oil Company’s Darcy oil concession in Persia were given by Crip tain Eden \ U nder-,Secretary for I'oreign Affairs), in response to a question in the House of Commons. Hia said that the concessions contained no provision which would not allow of its cancellation by either side. The concession provided for an annual payment to l the Persian Government of 16 per cent, of the annual net profits of any companies formed to operate* the concession.
The total sum paid to the Persian Government in royalties from 1901 to the 31st. December, 1931, had amounted to £11,265,000.
He said the present holdings of the United Kingdom Government in the Anglo-Persian Oil Company were iseven and ia-hialf million £1 shares; one thousand £1 preference shares; and £99,000 worth of five per cent, debentures. The total amount that had been received! by the United Kingdom Government from the Oil Company in dividends and interest up to the present time was £9,977,344.
