R. McKean. After evidence of identification had been taken it was adjournedj sine die. WOUNDED BY HAYFORK. THAMES, December 12. A severe wound in the chest from a hayfork was received by Mr John Chap-, pell, of Coromandel. Mr Chappell was taking hay into a loft and when stooping the prong of a hayfork held by his assistant penetrated his cliest. | Tlie injured man was taken to the. Coromandel Hospital, where he is progressing favourably. SUICIDE ON H.M.S. DUNEDIN. AUCKLAND, December 13. i The cook on H.M.S. “Dunedip,”! Walter Frederick Perry, was found' hanged in the storeroom on the cruiser. ■| Perry, who was 26 year® of age, was an Imperial rating and he had been on the “Dunedin” for about three : months. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while depressed was returned.
