WELLINGTON, December 9
The six men arrested in .consequence of an attempted march upon Parliament by relief workers on Saturday last..-speared at the Police Court this morning ~tp ,aiis\V«itKieharges ly CQpdurt'iand taking part in* IAT tiht authorised . procession. John Janie’s Porter, seaman, aged 25, and William Benjamin Arthur Wilkinson, labourer, aged 36, were charged with taking part in an unauthorised procession. The cases against both of them were dismissed by Mr E. Page, S.M., who remarked that the evidence showed that there was n 0 disorderly behaviour at any stage of the proceedings, or that the accused took part in the procession.
William Herman Gladwin, seaman, aged 26, and Charles Thomas Holden, seaman, aged 56, were each fined £2 for taking part in an unauthorised procession. Charges of disorderly behaviour against them wer dismissed.
Charges against Roy Evans, labourer, aged 27, of wilfully obstructing Detective-Sergeant Tricklebank in the execution of his duty, and inciting John James ; Porter to resist Detective Tricklebank were dismissed.
