THREE COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.

'As a sequel to numerous robberies in Palmerston North during recent weeks, three young men, Stanley Retlaw Gallichan, a carpenter, aged 22, Malcolm Victor Smith, a shop assistant, aged 24, and .lack Gidliehan, a labourer, aged 24, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court. All three faced six charges covering breaking and entering and theft, and breaking and entering with Latent, The total amount of goods and cash stolen wan £165.
Stanley Gallichan and Smith were charged on su“ counts with irimikir offences involving £55. The Gallichan brothers were also charged 'with one offence, breaking and entering, and theft -of goods valued at £7, Ail accused pleaded guilty and were
committed to the. Wellington Supreme Court for sentence, , Ilnil wn s allowed, “thont',h it 'is arr uuuoual course,” said justices, “on account of accused’s youth.”
