WELLINGTON 'December 8. The Commissioner of Police announces promotions and transfers as fellows : Detective Hall, of Wellington, to be' Detective -Sergeant. Constable Hfenvy, of Se-atmn, to be Sergeant and transferred to Christchurch. Sergeant Turner, AVaincite, to Sen-ior-Sergeant, and transferred to New retired on superannuation.
Constables Ferguson, of Kimbolton, Bis-set, of AVaiuku a.tjd Jones, Cambridge, promoted to be Sergeants and transferred to Auckland.
