ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES

INJURED BY BURST TYRE

AUCKLAND, December 7. A singular accident resulted in injuries to an elderly lady, Mis Catherine Blair, of Mt. Eden, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Airs Blair, who is 70 years of age, was walking along a footpath when a tyre on 'A passing motor ear burst. A large piece of rubber hurtled through the air and struck Mrs Blair, knocking her to the ground. The full extent of her injuries is not known, but it is believed that she may have received a fractured pelvis. Her condition to-night was not serious.
