TOKIO, December 6. The Japanese destroyer “Swarabi,” when proceeding from Kure to Formosa, is reported to have sunk in a violent storm or© hundred mi las from her destination, and over one hundred men were drowned.

Thre e other destroyers were in her vicinity when they received the “fesvarnbi’s” distress signal, but, owing to the darkness, she was invisible. The companion vessels picked up 14 of the crew, one ..subsequently dying. There are 107 mining.
