THIRD VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND

WELLINGTON, December 6. Making his sixth visit to New Zealand in tan .years, Mr H. E. L. Potter, the celebrated 'English Alpinist, arrived by th e Ruahine from England yesterday. He was last in the Do in in.on three years ago. There wore istill three 10,000 peaks he was anxious to climb, Mr Porter said in an interview. They were Mount 'Dampier, Ddng’.as"'-peak, and La P«rouse. He ff-d riic'ce-dcd in cl'mbing the other sixteen big peaks, but those three had so far beaten him on account of weather and other conditions. A-H wore difficult propositions, and utiles* favourable condition, s were experienced he would probably be aga l n unsuccessful. Mrs Porter accompanies her nusband. She- also has had considerable rvuntaineering experience, but has given up active climbing. She is a daughter of Air and 'Mrs J. M. Barker, of Wa'ihi.
