The Grey Argus in the course of critique says: The farcical comedy, “Turned Up,” in three acts, wa s , presented to a large and very 'appreciative audience at th« Town Hall last night by the St. Paul’s Amateur Dramatic Club. Hokitika. From the rise of the curtain the audience, quick to relish the witty and subtle biimour, wer e convulsed with laughter throughout. the whole evening. After their Hokitika success on the previous TuCodfay. "each individual artist excelled himself, or herseilf, with the result that there'waT s not a (dull moment. In brief, this farce is without doubt one of th*> best- which has been shown before the Greymouth public for , many yejaais. Thin lunqalified success is. of course, due directly to Mr H. M. Coulson. the coach and director of. the Club, -who iby his extensive knowledge of such productions and by his painstaking and untiring efforts, necessitating as they did a considerable- personal sacrifice, tendered such a polished entertainment possible. The plav is a distinct testimonial to the talent of Hokitika in general, anld to l St. Pool’s Amateur Dramatic Club in particuVtr.
