WHAKATANE, November 30,
The prisoner Clayton was captured this afternoon in the vicinity of Waimana, after a long chase on foot. A settler noticed a stranger in the bush on his property, and notified the police, who, searching therabouts immediately discovered Clayton. He ran through Waimana village, across the river, and was captured'by the police in an exhausted condition before he regained the maifi Wliaka-tane-Opotiki road.
