A CLAIM UPHELD
FOR HORSE ownership. (Per Press Association Copyright.} CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 30. In the Supreme Court case, a dispute over the ownership of the horse Red Shadow, the plaintiff being Emily Frances Grieve and defendant William George Deyeil, Judge Ostler, after hearing the evidence for plaintiff regarding Deyell’s signatures on certain documents intimated that if the defendant, Deyell, gave evidence that he did not sign th e .agreement and his ' Honour concluded that Deyell was committing perjury, he would not hesitate to direct .that Deyell be prosecuted for perjury. DeyeH was not called and his Honour entered' judgment for the plaintiff.
The main quest ion involved was whether Devell agreed to give Frederick Ashley Neale a half shaVe in the horse, which half share Neuilo transferred to Grieve.
