(Received this day at 1.30 p.m.l GENEVA, November 29. Japan, probably presents lier naval proposals to the Disarmament Oonlence next week. These emphasise tlie limitation of tonnage of capital ships to twenty-five thousand, and may concede twelve inch instead of fourteen inch 'armaments.

•The proposals insist on the maintenance of submarines and 1 suggest the 'abolition of aircraft carriers. The general aim is a reduction of vessels capable of a long distance offensive, ■while leaving Japan is a position to defend herself.

EX-SOLDIERS DEMAND RELIEF

VANCOUVER, .November 29.

Refused by the police permission to parade, two hundred disabled war veterans assembled around the cenotaph and hobbled along the sidewalks to the military hospital to demand an increase by the Government of veterans ■relief. The disabled soldiers’ association officers repudiated the parade.
