An effort will be made in tho Re* jH'Dsentivtivps to mulcts tbs two million pounds, wheih. will he devoted to «»■> listing wheat growers, an unconditional grant, to be distributed by the States. The Government is not expected to oppose the proposal.
In the Senate, a proposal will be submitted lor straight-cut bounty. Arrangements have been made to ship nearly 700,000 ton s of the new season’s Australian wheat overseas. More than a hundred ships have been booked to carry full cargoes between December and March. Seventy of the vessels are British.
