LONDON, November 19. Baron Forester, whose death is announced, enjoyed the unusual privilege of wearing his hat in. the King’s presence. The Foresters’ ancestors are said to have come over from Normandy with William the Conqueror, and to owe their name their hereditary office as controllers of part of Wrekin Forest.

4rhe privilege of wearing a hat In the royal presence was granted to Robert Forester in 12A0, and Henry VIII, renewed the privilege in a giant to John Forester, at Watling Street, who went to London, was a freeman of the Pattenmakers, and became attached to the Court. ’At Willey Hall, the family seat of the Foresters, is preserved the deed granted by Henry VIII.
