RUGBY, November 24. The Prince .of Wales during his tou r of Lancashire industrial towns, visited the centres of the coal mining, the town of Wigan and the great shipping and commercial centre of Liverpool. Re travelled from Knowdey, where he was the guest of the Earl of Derby, to Saint Helen’s, a famous glass-making town, and was accorded a rapturous public reception. He visited different institutions designed to ameliorate the lot of the unemployed in the Lancashire industrial areas, and he had a long conversation with eight men from a miners’ rescue station, who did gadlant work during the recent colliery disaster near Wigan, questioning them at length about their experiences and about the work in the mines generally.
