WELLINGTON, November 25
The Wellington waterside workers held a secret ballot to-day on the question of the handling- of frozen meat. The result,, which was officially announoqil thifl afternoon, shown the men t 0 b„ in favour of handling the meat. The first vessel affected is the Norfolk, which commenced loading _ her 26,000 freight carcases of meat to-night.
A “NEW” UNION. WANGANUI, November 25. Free labourers engaged’ at the Imiay Freezing Works have formed a new union which is recognised by the employers as being on the same basis a 3 the Union whose members are on strike.
