FEDERAL FINANCE BILL

CANBERRA, November 24

The' Prime Minister (Mr Lyons) introduced the Financial' Relief Bill in the House of Representatives. It provides £.1,700,000 in taxation relief, £B,ooo*ooo aid for wheat-growers, £250,000 for other farmers, and £400,000 in pension relief. The -Leader of the -Opposition (Mr Geullin) said (that his party would -support the proposals to remove anomalies from the Pensions Act, but would oppose reductions in land and income tax.
