The King broadcasts a Christmas message to the Empire on December 25.
The message will be transmitted to Empire stations cabled on November 7. This will be 'his Majesty s first direct broadcast to the p p o\p le . Hitherto only speeches at official functions have been wirelessed.
The King will probably broadcast from his study at Sandringham, where their Majesties spend Christmas, a special microphone being installed.
