GREAT WELCOME
PRINCE OF WALES SURPRISE VISIT TO VILLAGE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received this day at 10.2 e a.m.) BELFAST, November 17. One of the the most remarkable demonstrations of affection the Prince of Wales has ever experienced was given at Hillsborough, where he i s staying. At Government House the Prince was dining with Lord Abercorn, when he suddenly decided to visit the adjoining village. Hatless and coatless, the Prince was at' first unnoticed as he mingled with the crowd. Then he was enthusiastically j mobbed by hundreds of villagers, and it was only with difficulty that they made a. path for him to the war memorial, where many drumming parties were performing. The Prince delighted the crowd by borrowing a drumstick, and beating a drum himself for some minutes. Then he struggled back to Government House, and climbed fjhe wall, 'from where he addressed the crowd. Finally he jumped back into the Vice-Regal* grounds, the crowd remaining cheering outside until midnight, /
