WOOL SALES
OPEN ON NOVEMBER 22. LONDON, November 15. One hundred and fifty-eight thousand bales of wool are available for the wool sales opening on November 22, including 68,500 Australian, 28,300 New Zealand and 54,000 bales which were held over.
OTHER REPORTS
The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has been advised by i ts London office under date November 11 that the prospects for next wool sales scries indicate that the market for Merinos and half-breds 'will be firm, with possibly an easier tendency foi medium and coarse cross-brecis. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd.,' have received a, cable from their head office on the prospects of the opening of the 'November sales. ‘‘Expect steady market. Merinos and fine cross-breds at about last sale’s basis; 56’s to 60’;s may be little dearer « Bradford is pushed by Continent; medium and coarse cross-breds may be shade easier unless Continent inquiry develops.”
NEW ZEALAND SALES.
The New Zealand wool auctions will begin with sales to he held at Auckland on December 2. So far no limits of catalogues to he offered have been an nounced by the New Zealand Wool Committee, but last December Auckland put up a catalogue of 22,730 bales. Napier will follow Auckland, the sa date being December 6, and Wellington will follow on Satugay, December 10. The quantity offered;-m this centre at the corresponding sale of last year was 22.220 hales, averaging £7/10/3 per bale, or 5 164 d pep lb.
