DUNEDIN, November 15

The Okarito dredge, which washed up last week 470 z 3dwt for ninety-two hours, used the new pelton wheel for the first time, and the short hours are due to time occupied at the beginning of the week in completing the. installation of the pelton. Tlje new pelton lias given increased, digging power and the average yardage treated during the last week was 64.5 yards per hour. The ground also showed an increase in value, the average being per cubic yard, based on gold at £4 an ounce.
