KARASICK BEATS ELLIOT

WANGANUI, November • 16. Karasic defeated King Elliot in a wrestling bout here to-night by two falls to one. In the second round Karasick twisted Elliot several times with headlocks, and won a fall with a body press. Elliot retalated in the fourth round by slamming and weakening his opponent with flying butts, applying a body press to secure a fail. In the sixth round Elliot was in the act of lifting the Russian out of the ring, when Karasick got his foot on top ftf the rope, upset Elliot’s balance in a strong shove, and came back on the New Zealander hard, securing a fall.

The boiit was punctuated with showmanship. Karasick came to grips with the referee, who kept pointing dramatically at the police.
