A resident of Thames, Mr Frank Kumarich, has received • word that he had won a fourth prize of £IOOO in an Australian sweepstake on the Melbourne Cup. He purchased the ticket locally. Mr Kumarich, who is SO, is a Dalmatian by birth, and is now naturalised, was for several years working for the Kauri Timber Company up the Kauaeranga Stream, but for the last two years hsys been out of employment. He is married, but has no family. Naturally he is much elated by his good fortune. He has been a resident of Thames sine® 1912.
