IN CONCILIATION COUNCIL.

The adjourned proceedings in the typographical dispute were resumed in the Conciliation Council,
The Auckland Union representative announced Auckland was anxious for an agreement, and was prepared to accept reductions, varying four to five per cent.
Mr cod lin (employers’ advocate) said they appreciated Auckalnd’s conciliatory attitude, which would enable matters to be discussed.
The representatives of the oilier Unijons object to the Auckland Union’s 'proposals.
The Christchr v ch and Otago representatives said they would agree to a reasonable reduction if hours of work wore reduced.
Mr Codlin said the employers must have the same output, but less expenditure.
The proceedings were adjourned for further consideration of the Auckland proposals bv both parties.
