CHARGES LIFTED
SEQUEL TO KIDNAPPING CASE
N'EW YORK, November 7
At Flemington, New Jersey, John Hughes 'Curtis, who was convicted of obstruction of Justice in the Lindbergh baby kid napping case, was set free today, Judge Adam Robbins suspending the operation, of bis one-year sentence. When the sentence was suspended Curtis paid the 10CO dollars fine which was imposed on his conviction, and walked from the c-oiift with all charges .against him iifted. He had. been out on bail pending appeal from the original sentence.
It could 1 not he definitely learned on what grounds the sentence was suspended, but there was onie report that the action was taken because valuable information liad been given the authorities by Curtis since the trial.
