DUNEDIN, November. 12.

The young miners at Kawarau Gorge are more than satisfied with the continued richness of their claims.

The results from Messrs Bell and Kilgour’s tunnel are reported to exceed the early high figures. The tunnel lias now been driven 50ft. through ricli wash'and 1 the' bottom is dipping slightly into the flat. On the dip the wash is heavier. Around some of the large stones heavy gold has been freely picked up and is also showing in the wash.

Some handsome prospects have been taken- out during the last two days. So. far there is no sign of the lead being crossed and a large area of wash has been prfrved.
