PIGEON FLYING

SUPREME FLYING CLUB

The Supreme Flying Club' recently held a "race from Reefton, a distance of approximately 60 miles airline. There was a good field of birds, which were liberated a,t 9 a.m. in dull weather with a southerly wind. Lucky Bird Lofts traversed the distance in 60mins.

The result was as follows:— J. Andrews “Little Hope” 1; J. Andrews “Flying Buck” 2; J, Andrews “Come Back Jill” 3. ' Also’ started.—Supreme Lofts, Lucky Strike Lofts, Ariel Lofts, Navada Lofts, J. Lawn, G. Wormington, H. Broadbent and D. Moynihan. The final oup points are:— J. Andrews (winner) 112, J. Lawn 68, J. AfcDougall 39.

E. Findlay, manage r of Navada Lofts, is now breeding fine squeakers off imported Red-Chequers. W. Dawn*, manager of Supreme Lofts, hae reeently imported Dun-Chequers for the coming derby. J. McDougaL, manager of Aerial Lofts, is homing for success with his fine strain of Pied’s. J. Dawn is breeding Dark-Chequers. H. Pierson with his fine Dark-Chequers is a likely winner for the Derby with Springfield. G. Kerr is now breeding fine squeakers. The secretary has just returned from a visit to several Greymonth fanciers and he has brought back a fine display of Melbourne flying pigeons. ,
