LONDON, November 7
In a new British attempt to secure the long distance record, Squadron*Leader Mayford and Flight-Lieutenant Bett are making flight from Crauwell to Capetown. They will broad-’ east through the flight on a wave length flf 32.71 s The Air Ministry invites listeners to watch the signals. The fliers are using a giant F-iry Napier robot pilot which the Air Force have nicknamed “Iron Mike.” ,They are starting when conditions are favourable after December 8.

IjONDON, November 7. v The “Daily Telegraph,” commenting on the continued boom in cables and wireless shares, says that it is clue to the growing belief that the Communications Company will be allowed 1 to increase moderately the rates on outward message as compensation for the depreciation in sterling.
