LONDON, November 5.
In the Daii Erieanh -the Free State Government has. introduced ..a . bill to amend the Irish Land Act. This is interpreted to mean that Mr do Vylera will, shortly appropriate the land annuities to the financing -of the Governments agricultural schclpes. Air-. Oouigrave' bafc moved: a motion to giiant^faimers a two years moratorium in connection with the. land annuities. This may embarras the Government, /espec.uJly as farmers are -urging that if JVlir de Valera is not paying the annuities to Britain there is no need/for the farmers to pay the annuities to the Free State Government. > | A re-distribution of Seats Bill is imminent. . This is regarded as a portent of an election in the near future.
Four by-elections are pending, tipsters say that Mr de Valera’s Government will lose three.

As a special precautions to prevent disorder at Mr Cosgrave’s meeting at Cork, the police formed a body guard. As lie was entering the hall a woman Cvrided the cordon and rushed through shaking her fist at Mr Cosgrave and shouting “murderer !” Later, one Hundred men, armed with sticks and stones, charged the hall, and the police, drawing their batons,• countercharged and captured most of the weapon's, and arrested two. Subsequently., women attempted to rush the building. Meanwhile, the army, proteetirig the entrances ejected, ah interrupter.
Mi- Cosgrave declared that Mr de Valera’s ridiculous claims, held the country up to derision which resulted ip international dishonour.
Mr Hogan, ex-Minister, of Agriculture, declared that Mr de Valera’s demands for £400,030,000 were only justifiable if the Free State army were camped on Trafalgar Square, or the navy bombarded London: Bridge.
