MR BRUCE’S VISIT TO LONDON.

SYDNEY, November 6.

The Sydney “Sun” makes the important revelation that Hon., S. Bruce, thg Australian Minister’s mission to London is partly concerned with delicate questions of high policy these covering Australia’s part’ in the scheme of Empire defence, and Australia’s responsibility for defence in the Pacific. “When Mr Bruce returns to Australia in February, says the “Sun”, it may be found that the Commonwealth is being looked to by other Empire countries for a plan of defence which will stagger some of those who are at present disconcerted at the state of our military resources.

BRITISH DISARMAMENT POLICY

RUGBY, November 4.

The British Government’s disarmament policy is still under the careful consideration of members of, the Cabinet. An important debate for disarmament will take place in the. House of Commons bn Thursday. Great interest is being displayed in the subject oy Members of Parliament, and questions "particularly with regard to aerial disarmament, have been tabled for next week.

LYTTON REPORT EXAMINATION.

The “Times” Geneva correspondent reports that in deference to Japail’s request tp the League, the League Council’s examination of the Lytton report has been postponed until November 21. The distribution of Japan’s observations thereon will occupy several days. ~ .
