It is consequent on, the delegates’ meeting b. : the operative spinners '(iiimlgahiatioiV, by an overwhelming 'majority, refusing last week’s agreement. i lie spinners will not resume on Monday next, October 31, at those mills where the new terms are enforced. The decision not to resume is one affecting 200,000 workers, including the card-room operatives. Following the recent settlement of the wages dispute in the weaving section of the Lanc;if .lire cotton industry, the manufacturerss! and operatives began a joint discussion of the proposal for more looms per weaver, which was left over from the general settlement. Failing an agreement through the existing machinery, the problem will come before the new conciliation body which Was set up under the recent general agreement. • RUGBY, October. 28.
