U.S.A. IMPORTS FROM RUSSIA. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 22. Charging Russia with dumping manganese ore into the United States in such quantities that the American mines had been forced to shut down, the producers on Saturday asked the Customs Bureau to issue an antidumping order, adding one cent per lb. to the present duty of one cent per lb of the metallic content of ore. It was said that Russian ore, plus duty, is selling at about ,22 dollars a ton, while the United States mines are unable to produce under 35 dollars a ton. TOKYO STRIKE AVERTED. TOKYO, October 26. The chief of police has invoked the Labour mediation law, thereby averting the traffic strike, but the troubles have not yet been settled. ELECTRIC FISHING IN RUSSIA. LENINGRAD, Oct. 26.
