STALKER MISSING
SEARCH BY COMPANIONS. DUNEDIN, October 24. Fears axe entertained for the safety of Mr John Brindson, a resident of Moegiel, who has been lost on the Blue Mountains in the Tapamri district since 1 p.m. on Sunday. In company with 'Messrs T. Green, H. Green, and W. McClelland, Mr Brindson left on a week-end deer-stalk-ing expedition to the Blue Mountains ar. J was missed by the other members of the party shortly after midday on Sunday. His companions conducted a thorough search of the country through which they had. passed but yvithout avail, and at daybreak to-day a search party again scoured the mountains without success.
Word of the occurrence reached the Dunedin Police Station this evening, and steps were immediately taken to form a further search party, which will' be oh the spot this morning to conduct an intensive. search for <tlie missing man.
SEARCH PROVES UNSUCCESSFUL. DUNEDIN,' October- 25. No trace has yet been found of the deer stalker, Brindson, who was lost on the Blue Mountains on Sunday. Search parties were out all day today, but without success. There was heavy rain on the mountain yesterday, but to-day was fine. The search will be continued to-mor-row*.
