While sitting on her mother’s knee at 7.30 last evening a girl aged two years, Dawn Lilian Mills; collapsed and died before medical aid arrived. At an inquest evidence was given that the child had been in a delicate state of health for some time and' did not have the use of her legs. The inquest was adjourned. FATALITIES AT AUCKLAND. ’ AUCKLAND, October 25. The woman fatally injured by a motor-car on the Great South Hoad on Saturday night was Miss Elizabeth Bott, aged 61, a domestic servant. The death has occurred of William Stephenson, 52 Deceased collapsed while on a “hike.” He was a wellknown billiards player, being professional champion until Olarlc McOouachy defeated him about 1912.
