CONDEMNATIION BY CHURCH. STIII CAUSED AT SYNOD. SYDNEY, October 24. The Anglican General Synod passed a resolution condemning State lotteries, after a stir had been caused by a Queenslander, Colonel Rawson, who contended that lotteries in New South Wales and Queensland helped to relieve the suffering poor for which the Church organisations had not done what they should have done even in good times.
