BRITISH MEASURE
AFFECTING UNEMPLOYED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received Ui.'s day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 20. A new measure which Government is preparing dealing with the grievances of unemployed is not expected to radically alter the administration of unemployment insurance, but is designed for the guidance ot public assistance of committees assessing applicants need of relief, there being complaints, countrywide, ari-ing from the lack of uniformity in the ap--1 plication of the “means test,” which was introduced by the late Labour Government, and now applies to over a million unemployeds receiving transitional benefits.
It is expected that the new bill will consider applicants war pension*, small invent men Is, house property and other private means whom assessing the means of benefit.
