MISS F. BRISBANE DEAD. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.’ LONDON, October .14. The death is announced of M'ss Florence St. Anbyn Rrisbane, a kinswoman of the ex-Goverrnov of New South Wales, after whom Brisbane was named. 'Miss Florence died at the family •estate, Brisbane, 'Ayrshire. MIISSIONER’S DEATH. WELLINGTON, October 15. The R«v. James Moore, missionor Jo the Sailors’ Friend Society, died last evening at Picton, where he had been spending a holiday. Mr .Moore was brought out by the Church of England forty years ago to establish a mission for seamen in Wellington. .Twelve years later, Mrs Williams, wife of Captain W. R. Williams, presented the present land and building used by the mission. Mr Moorelater suffered from illness, and went to England, Mr Cox being appointed missioner in his stead.' Mr Moore veturned, and, following a difference with the church, took over the mission under the title of the Sailors’ Friend Society, by which name it had been known a ver since. Mr Moore is survived by his wife..
